unrelated, but whenever i have to draw squiggly curly lines like her hair, i always think in my head something along the lines of "squiggly-diggly squiggly-diggly squiggly-diggly" over and over and idk i thought i had to share.

damn. that's so... real. just. real. it sucks to know how disconnected we grow each day. it's ironic. technology is meant to connect us together and now people don't even bother setting their phones on their sides to watch 4 second clips instead of talking to their friends. and it's hard to say if it's technology's fault or ours. when did we let it all happen? when did we start going outside to escape the internet? and all that about being too old to want to die. that hits home. whatever you have going on, i hope you keep at it with the mirth of a thousand men. you are a good artist and you deserve success.

Woah! beautiful! the lighting is insane! i love the threads of light in the scales. so coppery and metallic. it looks gorgeous. and that red-blue smoke is sublime.
also, damn, this has more to do with the song title than the song itself, as per usual from Nero's Day At Wonderland.

Thanks! She's described as weirdly coppery/metallic and glowing, so it makes me happy to hear that I got that across effectively.
Sable Leathery Wings was the tone setter for the piece; I try to pick a song for many of my larger pieces to set a tone for me to keep focused on, otherwise I tend to loose track. It's usually just based on how the song sounds and not necessarily the meaning of the song, though in this case it's actually a bit fitting. The song (from what I gather, at least) is about abusive, manipulative relationships, ones where the manipulator drops the person they're in a relationship with as soon as they have nothing more to gain. The character depicted goes through one such relationship; her scales set anything she touches ablaze, and her "mother" figure manipulates her in order to utilize her as a symbol of power. As soon as the character looses this ability, her mother figure drops her like a rock.

Adorable. why, i sure do hope i don't get flashbanged by that cute little spinning gif of Madotsuki at the bottom. Yes, that would me most unfortunate and unprecedented. it would catch me by surprise and decimate my eyes, if only for a second. anyways, cute hat and cute clothes. cute model over all. good stuff all around, though the stick could use more broom.

Glad you like it and even now I’m still unsure what caused the flashing light at the bottom. For the broom I agree I kinda gave up on that but I might try remaking the model at some point or other Yume Nikki stuff.
